Your team
The team uses SMARTS, Actimize and other monitoring tool to identify instances of potential market abuse. This is supported by manual and desk based routines. The team collaborates with many internal and external parties such as the business, regulatory investigations to raise escalations and surveillance vendors to enhance monitoring and expand into new product classes and markets. The team stays up to date with relevant regulatory requirements and financial market news which influence surveillance activity and development. As a trade surveillance specialist you'll play an important role in seeing that market abuse and misuse of sensitive UBS or client's information is prevented and that internal policies are complied with safeguarding UBS's reputation against legal and regulatory risks.

Alternative Specialist Overview
Alternative Specialist Group within the Client Coverage Division (“CCD”) of DWS is a globally coordinated team based in 12 offices across 9 countries and currently stands at a strength of 40 staff. The Head of Alternative Specialist in each region reports to the regional head with a global coordination supported by the Head of Strategy & COO, Alternative Specialist, The Head of Alternative Specialist, APAC reports to the Head of Client Coverage, APAC to deliver against our business plans for alternative distribution and capital raise in the region.
Alternative Specialist is the dedicated sales, distribution, and investor relations group within the CCD for the Alternative asset class offerings structured and launched by the Product division and managed by the Investment Division. The Alternative asset class offerings include Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt, and Liquid Real Assets. Your responsibilities
As our Senior Alternative Specialist, Private Debt, APAC , you will:
The primary role of a Senior Alternative Specialist based in Tokyo is to work closely with generalist sales professionals to drive business by raising capital from institutional investors and expanding the number of distributors approaching not only institutional but also retail investors. This professional will have a direct reporting line to the Head of Alternative Specialist, APAC.
Coverage and distribution of alternative products/strategies, including real estate, infrastructure, and private debt, to investors and distributors. The key client coverage market will be Japan but will be expected to communicate region-wide on a periodical basis to support driving business in APAC. Close cooperation with CCD teams in the region, e.g., via joint customer visits and contacts, as well as product training courses. Support organizing/coordinating sales activities, such as roadshows, portfolio manager meetings, and marketing documents.
Interface with various stakeholder groups within DWS, such as portfolio management, institutional and retail generalist sales, product development, product management, marketing, consultant relations, compliance. Communicate cross border and build productive working relationships.

About the Role

Your role
Are you an expert when it comes to performing second-line-of-defense activities?
We are looking for a Central Compliance officer who can play a key role in Regulatory Management area covering the following matters:
• regulatory reporting (Report Producer Delegate, RRF coordinator)
• onsite/Offsite inspection & remediation, inquiries, surveys
• regulatory notifications and filings
• regulator communication
• handling Regulatory Development Tracking (RDT) tool
• C&ORC owned internal policies and procedures reviews and updates
• working in partnership with the Entity Management, Group Functions as well as Business stakeholders in the 1st Line of Defense
This role is possible for hybrid work after probation period.
