RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:

Duties

Develop KYC/AML frameworks in Societe Generale (SG) Group entities in Japan, including but not limited to (i) establishing/maintaining policies/procedures (ii) monitoring SG Group entities in Japan transactions/activities (iii) training relevant staff (iv) assessing risks in SG Group entities in Japan and their businesses
Act as a contact point to the relevant regulators in relation to KYC/AML matters
Liaise with regional and global Financial Crime Unit (FCU) functions
Manage client and transaction screening in accordance with relevant KYC/AML related laws, regulations and internal rules
Provide professional advice to Business, Operations and other stakeholders
Prepare material for management information on financial crime related matters and risks
Monitor any regulatory changes and to reflect the changes to controls in a timely manner
Regulatory interaction, including responding to regulatory inquiries and inspections
Responsibility as a manager of his/her subordinate(s), including but not limited to objective setting, performance evaluation, staff development, and providing guidance and instructions as needed.

PROFILE REQUIRED
Key Skill Areas & knowledge Required:

Experience in AML and/or KYC area
A team player to work with other teams within and outside compliance
Native Japanese, business level English
Knowledge of local regulatory requirements in relevant areas
Analytical skills
Negotiation and presentation skills
Report-writing skills
CAMS qualification is an advantage

Money laundering and financing of terrorism are financial crimes that pose significant impact wide range of stakeholders including the economic system, society, and the company we are working for.

Head of financial crime unit compliance will take responsibility to protect them by conducting duties described below. This role has a direct reporting line to Japan head of compliance, as well as functional reporting line to the regional head of Financial Crime Unit compliance.
