A successful OU Finance Manager is one who can create and execute a strong finance strategy with the deep financial insights to drive growth and profitability within the KO System.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Japan vending team and cross-functional groups to enhance and expand our Vending business, influencing strategic decisions through valuable financial insights.
Craft and influence the Vending Machine (VM) Long-Range Plan and Annual Business Plan, steering commercial decisions towards success.
Drive ROI analyses for VM projects, guiding resource allocation and investment strategies, including the investment evaluation of the Coke ON App Platform and Initiatives.
Oversee the monthly system VM customer gate process, ensuring smooth stakeholder alignment and process execution.
Ideate and advance non-beverage business models, utilizing KO's VM assets creatively and profitably.
Construct business cases for vending machine related capital expenditures, promoting growth and modernization.
Offer consistent financial guidance for commercial discussions and daily financial decision-making.
Develop and sustain valuable relationships with internal parties and bottling partners, prepping stakeholders for ongoing negotiations with quantitative and qualitative bottler information.
Enhance Business Models and Margins across the KO system, optimizing business models for system-wide growth, conducting thorough assessments and segmentations by bottler, and refining the New Economic Model.
Design and implement margin optimization strategies across the value chain, incorporating a disciplined approach to margins in operational business decisions, and ensuring KO system margin objectives are met.
Cultivate and support Working Capital and Cash Management initiatives, focusing on VM transaction optimization and cash management analysis.
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Knowledge & Experience
8 years of experience in financial planning, commercial finance, or management consulting roles
Strong understanding and insight into the beverage industry or FMCG, preferred
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, able to engage and persuade stakeholders at all levels
Work Focus
Provide holistic understanding of business performance within the Japan Coca-Cola System, providing strategic insights for improved decision-making
Lead the execution of extensive business planning activities within the Japan Coca-Cola System, collaborating across various functions within the organization and in synergy with key Finance stakeholders
Adopt a data-driven and strategic approach in partnering with bottlers, optimizing alignment and mutual business objectives
Design and implement pivotal financial strategies, best practices, and innovative solutions that propel sustainable growth in the dynamic vending business
Communication Focus
In this pivotal role, you will engage in strategic partnerships both internally and externally to influence financial results and foster unity around key initiatives and metrics, with an emphasis on impactful communication to:
Franchise finance leaders and teams, driving progress in planning, resource distribution, customer relationships, and commercial finance operations
Cross-functional teams within our broader organizational network
Other key stakeholders in our bottling partners
As a member of the OU Finance team, this role will be an individual contributor
