Role Overview
▪Ensuring adequate legal and compliance services to the Company and other 4 group companies plus factory throughout Japan, as a strategic guardian & legal business partner
▪Providing subject matter expert legal services to the businesses
▪Strategic support of the management board, partnering on business decision making
▪Manage legal & business integrity alignment across North Asia and globally
▪Leading for change and inspiring trust for sustainable and competitive growth
▪Repot to General Counsel-Japan
Key Responsibility Areas
▪Employment & Labor, Litigation, Compliance, Corporate Development, and Corporate Secretary Services
▪Brand protection, contract management (marketing, sales, supply chain and other functions related), support improvement of operational excellence in business
▪Projects (including global or regional projects) to be assigned by General Counsel or cross-functionally requested
▪Provides advice with respect to assessing both legal and reputational risks arising out of contemplated transactions
▪Provides significant cross-functional collaboration with operational and functional leaders, tax, finance, treasury, risk management, labor and employment, IP, IT, litigation, Safety & health, corporate, and communications
▪Effectively controls utilization of outside counsel to provide cost-effective legal services and ensures quality
▪Proactively embed the Business Integrity Culture
Day-to-day
▪Involvement in the business and visibility to senior management. Regular participation in client meetings, travel to different business locations within Japan and occasionally elsewhere i is expected (subject to the situation of COVID -19).
▪Effective communication with the different businesses and between the various stakeholders is essential.

▪Embrace risk and provide innovative legal solutions, providing alternative ways rather than explaining how it is difficult.
▪External orientation to enhance external network which benefits to business and passion to advocacy
▪Lead by example to embed business integrity culture together with creating psychological safety environment for all employees
応募資格(必須経験など)
応募資格
▪Graduate of a top law school in Japan or overseas
▪A licensed member of a bar association is not mandatory, but preferable
▪More than 5 years of experience in law firms or in-house companies in Japan or overseas
▪Positive thinking and communication
▪Having strong business acumen and growth mindset to purse competitive business growth
▪Experience leading cross-functional and/or global projects and driving and leading change in a business
▪FMCG experience is not mandatory, but preferable
▪Japanese & English language fluency (spoken and written) is necessary
