You will independently lead workstreams on our engagements and contribute to knowledge initiatives within Private Equity and Principal Investors practice.
In this role, you will have regional exposure (across geography, across industry) as well as the opportunity to build deep functional capability around due diligence and other topics related to investors. You will grow into an expert role, leading teams on client projects including due diligences. Your career growth from there on will be to an associate partner role which will involve playing a greater leadership role within the practice.
Client project work typically includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management. From there, you will implement those recommendations with client team members. You will work across other private equity/investor engagements including portfolio companies, firm strategy/organization and market scans.

Bachelor’s degree with consistent outstanding academic record; advanced degree or MBA/master's degree in finance is preferred
2+ years of experience at a transaction advisory, corporate M&A, private equity or strategy consulting firm with exposure to investors and market & business due diligence processesIntimate understanding of the due diligence process having done at least a few diligences across various industries
Strong business sense and good understanding of investors’ transaction life cycle including market and business due diligence, and value creation planning
Excellent problem solving skills including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutionsExcellent analytical skills; ability to understand the relevant analysis required to prove a hypothesis, gather information around it and make informed/logical assumptions where required
Strong financial modeling skills (e.g., industry/market sizing, growth driver analysis, company revenue model, etc.) for building and validating business projectionsAbility to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members
Flexibility, patience and an understanding of fluid, demanding and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly and methodologies are challenged regularly; ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlinesFluency in English and Japanese
