【UBS】Digital Platforms – Agency Trading – APAC Algorithmic Trading and SOR

Your role
Are you passionate about delivering robust and scalable algorithmic trading stack ? Are you motivated to deliver real business value? We are looking for someone to:
• Work as part of a Front Office Algo Development team responsible for the delivery of software for the firm’s Agency Trading electronic-trading business, with a focus on the APAC Algo & SOR book-of-work.
• Analyse complex business algorithmic execution requirements and design and implement solutions in an agile iterative way.
• Help deliver on our global platform target-state architecture – implement functionality and features that support rollout of the global algo trading & sor platform suited for APAC Market microstructure; enhance the distributed system architecture to meet on next generation capacity and performance requirements.
• Ensure that enterprise requirements on cyber-security, platform hosting and application monitoring and logging are met.
• Increase automated testing of distributed algo-engine components. Evolve our simulation test-harness to support additional algo and model testing scenarios.
• Collaborate with other global IT teams, Quants and Traders across regions and asset-classes
• Perform level 3 support, assisting production operations team in rollout and support-related matters

Your expertise
You have:
• First class knowledge of Core Java (you’re really excellent at this);
• Experience developing, delivering, and maintaining software in a real-time, event-driven, distributed application environment.
• Successfully applied solutions to meet non-functional requirements such as stability, capacity, latency/ throughput, monitoring, and logging.
• Hands-on experience of agile software development practices and methodologies, automated testing and CI/CD build and deployment processes.
• A proven background in software engineering with a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and a desire to work as part of a global team.
