As a Barclays APAC Prime Derivatives Services (PDS) AVP, you will be responsible for overseeing the business analysis function for APAC Prime Derivatives Services technology, covering all projects in the space including Growth, MRC (Mandatory, Reg & Control) and KTLO (Keep The Lights On). You will have accountability to front office as well as the APAC PDS technology delivery function.

What will you be doing?
• Overseeing the APAC PDS book of work and delivery/financial planning status across regional projects
• Partnering with Tech leads to drive application story backlogs/sprint planning and provide robust framework to ensure dev/QA are able to complete delivery of their book of work
• Driving a standardised and structured approach to project delivery across Equity PDS projects
• Driving process improvements and ensure consistent business analysis task structure in place across project deliveries
• Owning setup and maintenance of central repository for requirements (Confluence, JIRA)
• Being responsible for assessment of any new cross team/FTB requirement requests for PDS flow
• Ensuring all PDS flows are documented in detail and kept up to date as new flows are rolled out/decommissioned
• Understanding strategic target architecture for the PDS platform and collaborate with Tech Leads to ensure projects are moving in a strategic direction

What we’re looking for:
• In-depth and extensive understanding of front to back Listed Derivatives flows and processes
• First-hand experience working on a front-office trading platform
• Proven ability to influence and manage across multiple teams to deliver complex projects
• Ability to write high quality Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specs that are clear and concise enough for both traders and developers to follow
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Technical background desirable
• Naturally curious and attracted to complicated problems
• Having the drive to apply order and process, yet flexible to adapt as needed for continuous improvement
• Proven experience building and heading a high performing team
