仕事内容

In this role, you will research and analyze key client questions as well as identify data, information, and analyses to support problem-solving efforts and targeted industry research. You will also synthesize findings by preparing McKinsey-formatted end-products through models, presentations, and written communications
Over time, you will proactively develop and codify knowledge on new, emerging topics that are relevant to McKinsey and our clients in the industry, together with your research colleagues around the world.

You will also act as a thought partner to consulting teams and clients.
You will have the opportunity to focus on topics within the Advanced Electronics (AE) domain. Analysts in our AE Practice help consulting teams and clients in a range of areas related to industrial electronics, including machinery, electronic components, electrical/power/testing equipment, robotics, industrial automation, and building technology. You will be a part of the market research engine for a global management consulting firm committed to helping organizations create change that matters and supporting its clients’ most challenging operational and strategic requirements.
There is flexibility to hire at either the junior C&I analyst or C&I analyst level depending on your qualifications.


応募資格(必須経験など)

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree
• 2+ years of professional experience
• Experience in industrial electronics-related sectors and market research or consulting is preferred but not required
• Prior work experience as: securities analyst or industry research analyst at a bank, researcher at a think tank, market research company or consulting firm and/or employee at other research-related function in business
• Strong business acumen, including an understanding of financial, economic, and general business concepts and terminology
• General knowledge related to the machinery/automation/electronics industries preferred but not required
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
• Strong multitasking ability
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Professional attitude and ability to work proactively and independently as well as in a team
• Willingness to work on wide variety of research topics in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and native Japanese proficiency
