For this role, you will wear multiple hats; Project Manager, Support, as well as banking domain expert working with vendors and internal governance/audit/compliance teams across locations.
• This role requires a strong grasp of the big-picture – namely, how can technology help achieve business goals – as well as a keen ability to establish priorities, manage resources and budgets, and build and incentivize high-performing teams.
• Manage complex technology programs that have far-reaching implications for clients, employees, and stakeholders throughout the firm
• You'll work closely with colleagues across the firm to identify opportunities to develop projects and programs that are broadly applicable. Once you and your team establish a roadmap, you'll play an integral role in ensuring that the project is running on time, within budget, and in accordance with firm-wide guidelines, including risk and architecture.
• Act as the liaison between technology and the business.
• Execute projects delivery for expansion of business and manage escalations related to these.
• Be an application owner for local platforms and support day-to-day technology related matter for Payments business and key external partners (regulatory bodies, partner banks, and vendors)
• Support the availability and stability of the technology infrastructure where required.
• Just as importantly, you'll work with your team to set goals, foster collaboration, and promote the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
• Minimum 5 years of proven technology experience conducting project management, managing client demand, implementing technology solutions and meeting business and client expectations, as well as working experience and good understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management, and governance.
• Native level written and verbal communication in Japanese as the successful candidate will be managing external / internal stakeholders in the Japan market. Also, strong proficiency the English both written and verbal is required, as the candidate is required to work with global teams where English is the predominant working language.
• Understanding of global and line of business project and program management standards and methods
• Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution
• Strong experience in financial services, with a sound understanding of Transaction Banking and/or related businesses
• Superior business management and relationship management skills
• Ability to accurately interpret business direction and clarify technology's alignment
• Ability to work/manage a complex and demanding book of work that supports a large scale revenue-generating business across regions
• Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm – locally, regionally, and globally.
Key Competencies, Skills and Traits
• Good collaborator with ability to foster relationships effectively with diverse groups across geographies
• Good understanding of overall technology – both HW/SW, Database, Linux, Windows, Virtualization, Cloud, network concepts etc.
• Good vendor management skills.
• Good Knowledge and experience of the Japan Transaction banking market and core infrastructure (Zengin/FXYCS/Togo ATM/Answer etc) and other APAC countries.
• Confident and organized with strong reasoning and influencing skills
• Self-starter with initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team
• Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management expertise
• Adaptable and able to multi-task
• Hands on programming experience (either server side, front end), Cloud platform, AI/ML are the positive factor.
