What you will be responsible for:
• Understanding of the risk profile of LEs covered and communicate key highlights to the Legal Entity Risk Manager where applicable
• Knowledge of local risk regulations & requirements and ensure adherence to local and global requirements
• Organize and drive the local risk governance committee for the respective legal entities which includes planning of forward agenda topics, writing of committee minutes and ensuring timely consolidation / publishing of materials
• Proactive engagement on regulatory changes and regulatory examinations / requests pertaining to risk governance or cross risk stripes
• Maintenance of local risk policies and non- policy documents relating to risk governance or cross risk-stripes. (Both in English and Japanese)
• Execute / drive regulatory deliverables or action items on behalf of the LERM
• Collaborate across multiple risk stripes, as well as partner with Control management, Compliance, Finance and Legal amongst others where appropriate
• Participate in local forums/initiatives on behalf of LERM as required
• Primarily focus on Japan initially but is expected to expand coverage to other Asia countries/legal entities
• Partner with the Global and/or Regional LE risk teams in executing the LE risk framework, participate in risk governance initiatives

What skills and experiences we are looking for:
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Banking or related industry. Previous experience in Risk Management will be seen as advantage
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Working knowledge or experience in dealing with Japan regulators including familiarity with local laws and regulations on banking/financial institutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interface with all level of seniority within the firm
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Solid MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills with ability to put together clear presentations
• Fluent and proficient in Japanese and English, both verbal and written
