Corporate Finance is comprised of regional and industry-focused coverage teams, co-led from the bank’s hubs in Europe, the US and Asia Pacific, that ensure the delivery of the entire range of financial products and services to the bank’s corporate clients.
The current team in Japan works both in helping coverage team to source new deals, and in executing such deals. In order to have keep a good flow of pipeline and provide good quality of execution to coverage team, we need to proactively source bankers who have the basic skills of deal execution, and who can work independently. We are open to candidates in both M&A and/or industry coverage, as well as junior candidates (Analyst to Associate) that can be considered for a junior role on our Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) team.

Your key responsibilities:
Cross border M&A deal execution, including the day to day communication with relevant clients, organizing a meetings with professional teams and lead the discussions, etc
Collaborating with colleagues locally / overseas to leverage the firm's existing relationships & develop a strategy to increase promotion / revenue from such client base.
Initiate the M&A marketing work including the M&A market data analysis, presentation of Japan M&A strategy to global teams, etc
Your skills & Experience:
M&A execution skills in cross border M&A (Japan outbound)
Good to have a good industry experience in FIG, Consumer, TMT, Industrial, and Pharma/Chemical
Natural resources and transportation experience would be subject to further discussion
Your education & qualifications:
Educated to University degree level
Fluency in both Japanese and English languages
Good communication and influencing skills
Sales motivated, personable and able to develop & maintain relationships.
Very strong and persuasive communication skills in English; Japanese language ability desirable but not essential.
JSDA1 qualification holder preferred (but not mandatory)
