RESPONSIBILITIES
Join Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) as a VIE in Tokyo, Japan within our Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) business line.
You will be part of our Structured Finance team and be involved in all aspects of the transaction process from preparing the initial pitch to client negotiation and deal execution.
· Market research
· Assisting in the preparation of pitches and other marketing materials
· Handling commercial, financial and legal due diligence
· Pricing of financing opportunities
· Participating in the preparation of credit applications
· Reviewing the documentation before closing of the transaction
· Assisting in other transaction requirements such as E&S, KYC etc.
Due to the VIE eligibility criteria a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.
You may go through a process to check if any personal relationships could potentially cause a conflict-of-interest situation (e.g., being a PEP, or having relationships with PEP, client, vendor, or SG staff).

PROFILE REQUIRED
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
· Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
· A previous experience in banking industry and structured finance would be appreciated
Language skills:
· Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
· Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Japan is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
