RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:
1.Duties:
Supervise and contribute to the key BAU operations, covering fund operations for both Japanese and Cayman funds and reporting (regulatory, performance, risk)
Develop processes, optimize and, in a small team, run funds’ operations for the funds, including fund valuation, trade processing, cash management.
Steer, leverage and monitor outsourcing providers (Middle Office/Back Office, Fund accounting, Portfolio Management System)
Monitor market changes and regulatory developments to ensure that the funds comply with relevant laws and regulations. Notably, manage the accurate and timely production of regulatory reporting.
Cooperate with other departments, such as structuring, fund management. risk management, compliance, and finance, to ensure that all processes are aligned and that the funds are operating effectively.
Negotiate with and facilitate interactions with Group internal stakeholders and external parties, such as distributors, counterparties, trust banks, administrators, and fund auditors.
Support on various operational aspects of the firm, including technology, human resources, and risk management.
Support the management of budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
Lead / Contribute to key projects, aiming at automating operation processes with enhanced controls and enabling business for larger products offering.
2.Participation in Committees when needed– Regular company and business governance committees.

PROFILE REQUIRED
Key Skill Areas & knowledge Required:
Above 10 years Japanese funds accounting and operations relevant experience with a successful candidate expected to autonomously:
manage daily flows of fund operations leading to and including NAV publishing,
strive to avoid and deal with operational incidents, including perform funds valuation correction.
Proficient with T-STAR and able to leverage portfolio management front-to-back systems.
Good knowledge of financial instruments characteristics and operations including equities, bonds, onshore/offshore funds (mostly offshore fund experience with listed/OTC derivatives operations would be a clear advantage.
Both process development and hands-on experience with Japanese/offshore (Cayman) funds operations.
General handling of MS Office tools is required. (Excel, Word, Power-point, Outlook, MS Teams)
Prone to automate processes, some programming capability and overall IT sensitivity is expected.
Project management and overall work planning.
