Japan Delivery Experience team is seeking a talented, passionate Software Development Engineer. We are located in Tokyo, and are a part of the greater Japan Store Tech team, a global software development group.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will help solve a variety of technical challenges and work with a team of extremely talented engineers. Given that we are working on many new innovations, you will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables. You will build new customer features, design systems, develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative, you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. Your work will directly benefit customers and the retail business, and you will measure the impact using scientific tools. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity that’s higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that, frankly, haven’t been solved at scale before. Along the way, we guarantee that you’ll learn a ton, have fun and make a positive impact on millions of customers.
On a daily basis, you will have the opportunity to:
・Design distributed, multi-tiered systems ranging from small-to-large scale. Own the full software lifecycle from development, testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, continuous improvement and scaling.
・Understanding business goals and create functional requirements and project schedules together with business teams
・Build on existing systems effectively, improving and evolving systems for robustness and high performance

Target
基本条件
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
歓迎条件
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
