The Creative Director of Design is a key member of Apple's Marcom team, providing leadership for the visual execution of Apple’s marketing communications across all mediums in the Japan region. They are adept at building strong relationships with senior creatives in London, England and Cupertino, California, to understand the creative strategy and be a strong voice/educator for the Japan team. They seek to build trust and be an effective creative partner.
The Creative Director takes on new challenges and is open to change as they learn what is best for Apple in each region. The daily activities of the CD, Design will be quite varied. Anything from reviewing creative work to creative origination or developing effective processes with the local teams.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must provide a design portfolio or work samples
• Experience as a Creative Leader with at least 10 years of overall experience
• Industry experience in Design/Digital agencies or in-house marketing communications departments
• Experience leading and developing a team of individual contributors
• Excellent written and spoken English skills for effective communication with international stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of digital, retail and channel communications in Japan
• Thinks in a global context and accounts for varied viewpoints when addressing opportunities
• Has an appreciation and love for the details and minutia of a project
• Persists in the face of challenges to achieve results and exceed goals
• Makes sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
• Ability to work at a strategic and execution level within a matrix-ed organization
