Internships in the Americas

Get involved in real projects. Learn what it’s like to be part of the Barclays team. Set yourself up for the future with an internship at Barclays.
We have a huge variety of internships to choose from. So whatever your circumstances and availability, you needn’t miss out.

○ Summer Internships
This 10-week program runs from early May to August, and includes comprehensive training to ensure you will fit into the firm quickly. You will gain skills, network with other interns and senior managers, and build your understanding of the bank and our industry. You will also have a senior mentor and junior mentor to help you settle in.

○Training includes:
・Orientation to Barclays
・Business Overviews
・In-depth financial markets and product training
・Division-specific training
・Lectures and presentations from line professionals

○Real Experience in Real Teams
At Barclays, you’re not just an intern; you are a potential full-time employee in training. That’s why you’ll be integrated into a team and given a real role with tangible projects. You will apply to and join a specific division, where you will benefit from further learning events, presentations, meetings and networking opportunities. This extends to a formal appraisal process, designed to focus on your individual objectives and give you feedback on any areas of improvement throughout the summer.

○Additional Exposure
We’ll throw many opportunities your way. In the Investment Bank, you will meet a number of Directors and Managing Directors. In Corporate Banking, you will be given a special project to complete, the results of which you will present to a panel of senior managers.

○Locations
In the Americas, our internship opportunities extend across most of our businesses. While many are based in New York, there may also be some opportunities in Atlanta, Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Menlo Park, San Francisco and Toronto.
