Tips for Harvard: The application process, final words, and why I got in

One thing that I contribute to the success of my college application season is my family and my best friend. I stayed up doing applications for months every night until almost 1AM each day after school and after other activities, perfecting essays and working on resumes and statements.

My best friend was right next to me doing the same and we kept each other company and were able to discuss the stresses together. I also had some other friends from a Facebook group that I actively discussed college issues and life with as well. Sometimes, we would have Google hangout sessions and work on our essays simultaneously so no one would feel alone in the process. I believe having people around me at all times going through the same process helped motivate and calm me during the process. Knowing that if I did not get into an amazing college that someone in my support system who is more than deserving would made the journey well worth it.
