A lot of people confuse an MBA and Masters in Economics degree assuming them to be similar or overlapping, however, there are quite distinct.

On the other hand, a Master in Economics degree provides specific training in economic theory, econometrics or applied economics. Unlike, an MBA program, the core topics of study in Master in Economics revolve around Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. The degree trains students to research-collect, interpret and analyse data for a specific purpose.
