Functional Description:
The goal of Frito Lay's internship program is to provide students with the opportunity to leverage their academic understanding in a real-world, business-driven environment. During this internship experience, you will have exposure to leading team of 15 to 30 hourly associates with varying levels of experience and education. At the end of the summer, our interns report out to the Plant or Region Leadership Team on the key business points learned from the internship experience.

* Assist in developing individuals and the team to solve operational issues
* Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety. Initiate, implement, and ensure sustainability of assigned projects
* Communicate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
* Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
* Help solve daily operational issues
* Conduct presentations and formal training programs
* Improve team communication and engagement
* Ability to think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same
* Assist in developing team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short & long term performance goals
* Assist in organizing and facilitating team meetings to achieve continuous improvement process
* Coach team members to use the process and facilitate problem solving on the floor


What we're looking for:

* Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or related major
* Demonstrated leadership ability
* Highly motivated self-starter
* Project management skills
* Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly
* Ability to give/receive constructive feedback
* Ability to lead a team based approach to decision making
* Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment
* Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team building skills
* Must graduate with final degree(Bachelor's and/or Master's) within one (1) year of internship completion

Minimum Qualifications:
* Candidates should be completing their junior year of studies
* Must graduate with final degree(Bachelor's and/or Master's) within one (1) year of internship completion
* Eligible to work in United States without work authorization sponsorship
* Must pass a drug screen and background investigation
