Who are we?

Alpha Academy (www.alpha-academy.com) is a succesfull international company based in Tokyo and San Fransisco. It is a growing educational and human resources platform. We offer support programs in the field of recruiting, job hunting, undergraduate and graduate admissions, standardized test preparation in order to help people worldwide to thrive in their careers. For the moment, we have 50,000 ALPHA members including students and graduates of world’s top universities, including Columbia University, University of London and University of Tokyo.

Responsibilities

• - Edit the English website and Facebook-page
• - Conduct a marketing strategy for entering new markets globally
• - Make advertisements

Required Skills

• - Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• - Desire to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple projects
• - Sense for education and ability to generate new projects
• - Japanese skills are not necessarily required!
• - Good photography and photoshopping skills, obtained through studies or hobbies

Experience from our previous intern

I got the opportunity to do a summer internship at Alpha Academy. I was in charge of the marketing of the English website, the Facebook page and a project that I conducted. What I really liked about my internship was that they are open to new ideas and appreciate when you come with proposals. My manager Ayumi-san, helped me when I needed support but wanted me to think creatively in order to solve problems and target new clients. In addition, I also got the opportunity to learn more about the Japanese working standards and culture, which was really interesting as it differs significantly compared with the Dutch way of doing business. Yes, this internship has taught me a lot in terms of doing business and made myself more open-minded towards the Japanese culture.
